Does this still have value for me?
What will it take to create the life of your dreams?
Are you willing to show up to your dream life?
Does everything in your life have value?
I had to take an honest look at my life and ask if what I was currently doing was truly serving what I was looking to create in my life. I was overworked, broke and a new mom. I knew that continuing to walk down this road was NOT going to lead me to where I wanted, who I wanted to BE. I began to function from the question: What in my life has value to me?
I began by looking around my home and de-cluttering. If I didn’t totally love something, if it didn’t light me up, I either gave it away, donated it, sold it or threw it out. You can start in your closet, with shoes, in the garage or in your car. Look at the things you are surrounded by everyday. Here’s the tip: Ask whatever it is you are looking at 'Do you want me to keep you? Will you make me money?' Sometimes when something is going to make you money, it may not be exactly how you think. Selling it is the obvious way of course. What else is possible? I’ve played with this tool: gifting people whom have more money than me one of these items, one that has value to them.
P.S. This isn’t only about the things in your life! Take a look at the people in your life as well. I’m probably the only one that has had people in my life that aren’t a contribution right?! Ha! If your gut reaction when a person calls you is -UGH, I don’t want to talk to them or you avoid certain people because you feel so drained after interacting with them, that is your cue to clear ’em out. What if everything and everyone in your life could be a contribution to you? I wonder what that would create, don’t you?
